This shows a mix of various things we sell.  Highlights include a bronze 11” statue of Buddha, a tapestry bag with a bamboo handle, Tibetan prayer flags, a ceramic/resin statue of Ganesh (elephant God of good fortune), a hand-carved and painted Sun mask, Nag Champa incense at the best prices in the metroplex, a small tray of Tibetan turquoise rings, a Kukhuri knife and Tibetan prayer beads all resting on a handmade tapestry.

 

 

 

 

 

A truly unique and 1 of a kind piece.  This hand-carved and painted wall plaque celebrates the moon or “Chandra”. Lots of great detail includes a peacock bottom and dragons on the sides.  16” x 10.5”.  $160

 

 

This is a mix whose highlights are Tibetan Singing Bowls of which we sell

a variety ranging in price from $30 to $175.  They are all authentic, come

with a stick to make them “sing” and visually stunning.  Many are decorated with various symbols and embellished with 100% gold paint.  An old Tibetan teapot is in the background, about 2’

high for the famous Tibetan “butter”

  Jewelry makes up about 25% of all we sell.  These pieces include Tibetan turquoise and other stones all in sterling silver with a selection of prayer beads or “malas” both for neck and wrist below.  The prayer beads start at $10 and the jewelry is always a fair market price.    

Left to right, Tibetan bone skull mala @ $35 and skull wrist mala @ $12.  In the center is a fantastic Lapis Lazuli, coral and sterling Tibetan style necklace with matching earrings.  There are not multiples available and the necklace is $195.  You have to see it and feel it to really appreciate the value.  The earrings are $17 and I’m sure if a customer were to buy the necklace and the earrings, we could offer a discount.  Last is a necklace and bracelet of Tibetan turquoise spaced with sterling

silver beads.  Each turquoise nugget is smooth and different, although never clashing in color.  They are well-priced at $58 for the necklace and $19 for the bracelet.  The rings are plain Jade and Tibetan turquoise bands @ $12 each

 

  Colorful tank tops in 100% cotton are a staple for both the hot Texas summer and for layering with other tops or Yoga class.  These are colorfast and machine washable and very stretchy.  They are one-size and will go from size 0 to 12 or 14.  In the picture is the swirly design but we also have many with the “OM” design, both printed and stitched, and a paisley design and a zebra-like design.  The clothes change with the season and the availability on each buying trip.  These are $10  
   

 
 
  We sell many different kinds of bags – large and small.  These are tapestry on the front and sturdy black cloth on the back.  All have zipper closings and various zipper pockets within.  The fun thing about the tapestry bags is that each one is unique, made from assorted tapestries and put together in piecework fashion.  We also sell natural hemp bags, cotton bags, monk’s bags and sack-like “baba bags” and many others.  The ones in the picture are about $25  

This is a famous Nepalese knife sometimes

referred to as a “Ladies’ Knife” because it is in the shape used by rural Nepalese women throughout the countryside to cut grasses every morning to feed their animals.  The women fill baskets on their backs till they are taller than they are and trudge, barefoot, home while smiling, laughing and singing.  The knife, 1 of a kind, is made of inlaid horn and is truly beautiful.  We usually carry a selection of famous Ghurka Army knives, Kukhuri knives and all different styles and prices.  This one is 14” and $150 

 

This hexagonal box is lined in red velvet.  It is copper, brass and silver and depicts Buddha and various Gods

of Good Fortune.  Every design has a message and it is highly decorative.

1 of a kind, hand-carved “Garuda”, this God is half bird-half man.  The detail is fantastic and it has a stand attached to the back to be a free standing piece or may be hung.  It is stained wood. 12” x 11” x 5” (on stand) $160  

This painted metal mask depicts a Cheppu.  It is made in Nepal, 1 of a kind, and for good luck.  The image adorns the top of the temple doors throughout Nepal. 7” x 7” $65

 

 

This is a bone Tibetan mala or prayer bead necklace.  It has a carved “bell

and dorje counters” on the sides used for counting the number of times one has gone all the way around the necklace.  We sell this type in a small, medium and large bead size.  The

finish is smooth, lustrous dark brown and the price of the large is $45, medium is $34 and small is $25.  We

sell prayer beads in all different types

of stone, seed, wood, and bone and some have the counters and some are plain.  They start at $10

 

 

 

 

 

This wall plaque has the word

OM” in the Devangeri script. 

This is the same alphabet as

Hindi and Nepali.  We also have

the OM in the Tibetan language.  This one is dark brown wood.  Also available are slight variations in script style

This is a large, 1 of a kind mask

than can stand on its own or be

hung on a wall.  I do not know the

exact age, but it is not new. It

contains 5 faces in all and 3 skulls. 

At the top is Lord Buddha and

below are various “destroyers

of evil and ignorance.”  The

base is Lotus petals, a common

theme in Tibetan masks and

statues.  It is composed of

hand-painted and carved wood.

  than the metal.  She is

  “Laxmi” goddess of wealth

  and beauty.  The delicate

This is a handpainted ceramic Buddha mandala. In the center is a seated Buddha surrounded by 8 other Buddhas in various poses. Around that are
the 8 Auspicious Signs. 8 1/2" in diameter, handmade in Nepal, $95.
 

This is a natural color hand-carved bone necklace, adjustable in length,

and adorned with the 8 “Auspicious” or Lucky Tibetan symbols.  While

all are not listed here, in the store we can offer an explanation for each

one.  We have many varieties of this necklace in different engraving styles and different colors.  All are $24

  Tibetan Cheppu Box: One of a kind, this box is hand painted aand embellished on all sides. The Cheppu is a good luck and protective god who eats snakes and spits

Standing White Tara Statue: Powder turquoise statue of the Buddhist goddess White Tara. She is portrayed in 21 different ways, here, standing. Savior, compassion, benevolence

Turquoise Buddha Statue: This is a powder turquoise statue of Buddha in the "earth touching pose." He is seated on a carpet depicting the wheel of life. 7"H x 5"W x 21/4"deep. handmade in Nepal, $95.

Turquoise Tibetan teapot: Copper Tibetan teapot completely inlaid with turquoise, coral and brass. This unique piece has the 8 Auspicious Signs on the body and a famous Buddhist mantra in Tibetan on the top. Handmade by Tibetans in Nepal, it measures 9" x 8" from spout to handle and the bottom diameter is 4 1/2" $175.

  Tibetan Singing Bowls: This is a grouping of the highest quality Tibetan singing bowls. Other styles are also available. Each comes with the wooden stick necessary to play it and the prices of these range from $65. to $150. These bowls are not antique, but personally selected in Nepal in the same places where the Tibetan peopleand monestaries

These bags are handpleated and embroidered and available in other colors. they are 11" x 15" and have a top closing zipper and an inside zipper pocket. $29. each.   Inlaid standing Prayer Wheel: Standing Tibetan prayer wheel inlaid with turquoise and coral, decorated with prayers in brass. It sits on a stand of bronze metal which
is painted with prayers and symbols in 24 carat gold paint. Inside the cylinder are prayers printed on rolled up cloth, repeating the mantra, "om mani padme hum" (hail to the jewel in the lotus) To use it, one holds the small handle and spins the wheel clockwise.   Naga Kanya Statue: Gilt finished Naga Kanya is daughter of the "Nagas" or rain givers. They are guardians of the water. Her upper body is human and the lower body is

  Bhairab mask: Only 1- Bhairab- the wrathful form of Lord Shiva- is the destroyer of evil and ignorance.
